On the 18th June 2004 I had the honour to assist at the 175th University Boat Race Gala dinner.  Attending were some four hundred distinguished guests including past and present Rowing Blues from both Cambridge & Oxford.  

The guest of honour was HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. 

Fittingly Trumpeters from 'The Blues & Royals' gave the Royal Fanfares.
